As one of the highest rated teachers at the New York Film Academy in the Acting, Animation and Game Design departments, Katie wrote and debuted a curriculum there called The Comedy Program that focused on the emphasis of Sketch Comedy. Some of the disciplines she regularly teaches include improvisation, mask, clown, audition and business technique, voice, movement, and dance for actors.
Katie taught Improv and Acting at NY Castings, has taught for the American Theatre Wing, and currently she is adjunct acting faculty in the Acting Department at Studio School in Los Angeles, CA, where she is also a Development Specialist.
She is a private Solo Performance and Acting coach, having taught upward of 2000 students, ranging from international film stars to NBA and NFL players. She focuses on the exact and immediate needs of her students in terms of expressing their best artistic self. She is a commissioned monologue writer.
