Katie Northlich is a four time New York Manhattan Monologue Slam Champion, and she is the current reigning Four-Time National Manhattan Monologue Slam Champion. Her solo show, *Character Forum: A Thesis, was in New York Magazine as a pick of the week; it was selected for the Estrogenius Festival, the Fashion Playfest festival, and was chosen as a debut piece for the solo-performance based Stage Left Studio theatre, resulting in an extended, sold out run. She teaches Monologue and Solo Performance at the Nuyorican Poets Cafe and Improv at the New York Film Academy. She is currently developing a new genre of improvisational solo and monologue performance. NEW YORK: Twelfth Night, Arturo's Window, And Then Like Ophelia, The Odd Couple, Man With Bags, Two Rooms. COMEDY/MONOLOGUE-ING: Second City NY 2002 showcase; Stand Up NY, New York Comedy Club, Caroline's on Broadway, Upright Citizen's Brigade, The People's Improv Theatre, Undergound At Gene Frankel, The Makor, Stage Left Studio, The Bowery Poetry Club, Gotham City Improv, New York Film Academy, Comix, Don't Tell Mama's, and Mo' Pitkins. As a dancer Katie toured Europe, and was a recipient of a Jazz Dance award from the prestigious Interlochen Arts Conservatory in Interlochen, MI. UC Irvine: BA, Drama.
