The Nuyorican Poets Café presents a FOUR WEEK INTENSIVE SOLO PERFORMANCE WORKSHOP, TAUGHT BY THREE TIME NATIONAL MONOLOGUE SLAM CHAMPION, KATIE NORTHLICH! Join Katie Northlich as she takes your unique performance chops and helps turn them into your own monologues and solo show! Make the industry come to YOU as you learn how to transform your material into a solo piece. In this intensive four-week workshop, Katie will focus on the art of 'the monologue' and help you channel that into your original perspective. Through discussion, solo stage work and physical and writing exercises, you will learn how to create a solid solo piece! It's Fall of 2009 time to create your own work! Please note: This workshop will culminate in a casual showcase of work for family and friends and there will be solo stage time every class, so some acting experience is helpful!
